Juniper Networks Announces Changes to its Board of Directors; Appoints Michael Lawrie
SUNNYVALE, Calif., February 21, 2007 Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced the appointment of Michael Lawrie, chief executive, Misys plc, to the Juniper Networks board of directors effective immediately. Mr. Lawrie will replace Frank Marshall, who joined the board in connection with the April 2004 completion of the NetScreen Technologies, Inc. acquisition.

Mr. Lawrie, 53, joined Misys plc, a UK-based provider of industry-specific software products and solutions, as chief executive in November 2006 after serving as a partner of ValueAct Capital from October 2005 to November 2006 and chief executive officer of Siebel Systems, Inc. from May 2004 to April 2005. A 26 year IBM veteran, Lawrie held executive assignments that included senior vice president and group executive responsible for sales and distribution of all IBM products and services world wide from May 2001 to May 2004 and general manager of operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. An MBA graduate from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a B.A. from Ohio University, Lawrie also serves as a National Trustee for the Ohio University board of trustees.
